My affinity for Brooklyn bands continued Tuesday night with MS MR at Webster Hall.  It’s the time of year when I reflect on the acts I first see in small venues like Mercury Lounge and in just nine months are headlining bigger venues like WH.  The last time I saw them here they opened for Jessie Ware. This is my third gig and Lizzy’s had different hair color each time: blue, green and yellow respectively.  Max is just too cute for words.

They opened with ‘Bones’ and played all my favorites: ‘Ash Tree Lane’ which they said was one of the first songs they ever recorded together, ‘Head is Not My Home,’ ‘Think of You’ and their closer and best known song, ‘Hurricane.’  I’m also a fan of their LCD Soundsystem cover ‘Dance Yrself Clean’ and fortunately you can hear it on Spotify Sessions.  I love Spotify and I love Lizzy and Max.
