Just before this year’s SXSW, I checked out Flight Facilities, the Australian electronic producing duo made up of Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell, at Warsaw in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with my pal Joey. The guys donned their signature flight gear and played most of the tracks off their full-length debut record, Down to Earth.

Like other producer duos like Gorgon City and Disclosure, Flight Facilities collaborates with a range of vocalists spanning from up-and-coming talents like Elizabeth Rose to long-established pop icons like Kylie Minogue. What I loved about this show was hearing the vocal styling of Brooke Addamo, aka Owl Eyes, for the first time live. What a sexy, slinky minx this one is. ‘Crave You’ and ‘Heart Attack’ was all I needed to hear to make the night worth it.
